Information You Submit
A third-party provider receives the name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form and supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we use the details in your message only to respond.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review aggregate patterns to maintain the site and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How We Use Collected Data
We use limited data to operate the site, diagnose faults, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We neither sell visitor lists nor create individual visitor profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Choices and Data Rights
Rights to access, correct, or delete website-held personal data depend on where you live. Illinois has the Personal Information Protection Act, 815 ILCS 530, for breach notice and the Biometric Information Privacy Act, 740 ILCS 14, but the research found no enacted universal data-broker deletion law as of August 23, 2026. Because this site keeps little data, a request generally means checking contact messages and server logs and removing what is found. Use the Contact page to ask. Illinois state, county, and village public records remain under their custodians' control.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
